Wood cremation urns
Elegant, warm, and timeless, wood is a popular choice for urn construction. Affordable and easy to transport, with several engraving configurations available. Sizes range from small keepsake and sharing sizes, to large-capacity models and “companion” urns, which can be used for more than one person’s remains.
Filling the urn
This wood cremation urn features a removal bottom panel, which is retained by screws. Once the urn is open, you can place the bag containing the ashes directly inside. If you’re sharing the ashes with others, you can pour a portion of the ashes into the urn, then reseal the bag in order to transport the remaining ashes to the other person(s).
Urn personalization options
While not required, many choose to personalize their urns with an engraved message, which may include a name, nickname(s), dates or birth and/or passing, and a thoughtful sentiment. Depending on the urn model chosen, there maybe be several lines of space available for your message, as well as various graphics available that we can add, which range from a simple heart or religious symbol, to sports graphics, nature-inspired drawings, hobbies and much more. This is a wonderful way to customize the urn in a style that pays tribute to the unique personality of your loved one its occupant. The engraving occurs directly into the metal, which results in a silver or gold look, depending on the particular qualities of the base metal.
Our artisans format the text font sizes, layout and graphics placement thoughtfully, based on the text entry that you provide with your order submission. Please note that urns are customized items that may not be returned, so please check your submission carefully to ensure that it’s 100% correct.
Block Font
Clean and crisp, our block font gets your message across clearly. Block is well-suited for situations when you have a lot to say, or if you like a stronger look in a traditional engraving style. It’s also very effective at getting your message across when all caps are chosen (all caps are not recommended when using the script font – choose block instead if all caps are required).
Script Font
The Script font provides a classic cursive-style look. It is not as well-suited for a larger amount of text, however, and may be harder to read from a distance, so keep that in mind if you choose script. Please also note that multiple capital letters grouped together are very difficult to read, due to the ornate styling of script capital letters, so we strongly recommend against all caps.
